My surprise getaway!

Last week, my darling husband Tim organised a surprise getaway for the two of us to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary! We stayed at a charming little place called Avoca Valley Bed & Breakfast, Central Coast. It was the ideal location for a few days of rest and relaxation. Especially loved the spa in the marble bathroom!

Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne (non-alcoholic, as I don’t drink!), and a cheese and fruit platter.

Dinner on our first night was Indian at the “best Indian restaurant in Australia”, or so the restaurant claimed. The food was pretty good, and the service was great! Even got free strawberry ice cream for dessert!

Of course, no B&B is complete without breakfast! Every morning, we were greeted with a trolley laden with goodies…. fresh juices, a huge bowl of fresh fruit, bread with numerous spreads, cereal and yoghurt. We also could order a plate of cooked breakfast each morning… but more pics of that later on!

This was our view from the balcony of our bedroom. It overlooks the back of the property, and it was beautiful to sit out there when the sun came out.

These beautiful rock formations were at Avoca Beach. Started reading John Piper’s book “Don’t waste your life” for the second time… I never finished reading it the first time due to lack of time, and forgot what it was about, so had to go back to the beginning! Hoping to finish it before going to John Piper’s One Conference on 31 August 2011. Also took my trusty little manual film SLR on the trip, so can’t wait to get the film developed and see what the shots are like!

More photos of the gorgeous property we were staying at.

A night of fine dining! Food was absolutely awesome… cooked to perfection!

This was our window view of Terrigal from the restaurant…

As promised, the delicious pics of the cooked breakfasts we had each morning! Very spoilt!

I am a huge fan of puzzles, so I completed a Ken Duncan panorama puzzle during our stay…

Pelicans at The Entrance!

Stopped over at Long Jetty for some pics. It was a bit flooded because of all the rain we had that week. Still beautiful though… love the reflections of the sunset on the water.

Had such a nice time… we are already thinking of going back next year!:PThank you Tim! Love you! xoxo

Nature, nature, nature, God’s creation is magnificently beautiful and majestic! Your camera has indeed captured the essence of the beauty, even a little rain-drop dripping down from a little branch is, wow, so pretty, let alone all the others. They never stop declaring God’s glory in their own little spots.

The beautifully lovely place, great hospitality and yummy food, it is definitely in our holiday planning.

If you don’t understand Chinese characters, find someone to translate for you. OK, what I am saying, simply is, “All photos are beautiful, and all things in the photos are beautiful!”
